You check
Review every page and ask for changes. Your family’s nominated person approves the final version before you pay.
We post
Once paid, your magazine is printed and posted to your chosen address. Your family gets a PDF too.

KEEP THE CONVERSATION GOING
For the family members who aren’t at the table every week.
A question from the sample magazine
“What do you remember about your first day in Australia?”
Ask it on your next call or visit. Their answer can become a story for your family to keep.
A question card comes with the magazine. There’s nothing for the recipient to fill in or post back.
With their permission, record 30–60 seconds of their answer on your phone and share it with your editor.
Their words go into the next magazine. After a one-off magazine, you receive a one-page keepsake PDF instead.
Front · A note from your family
For Mum, with love from Vivian, Andy and Grace.
This magazine is yours to read and keep.
Nothing to pay or send back.
Back · A question for next time
For your next chat with Vivian:
“What do you remember about your first day in Australia?”
No need to write an answer. Sharing is up to you.
No app, form or return postage for the recipient. We never call them; you’ll get one reminder after delivery.

Family overseas? Share the included PDF. Printed copies stay within Australia during the pilot.
Printed copies go to any address in Australia by Australia Post, usually 2–6 business days after posting.
Family overseas? Every magazine comes with a PDF you can share with family anywhere — and you can order a PDF-only edition for relatives abroad. During our pilot we don’t post printed copies overseas.
Bigger text? Ask for the easy-read edition — same price.
Our easy-read edition has bigger text, larger photos and fewer words per page. You choose. If the person receiving it is 70 or older, we’ll mention it once when we start and once on your first preview — then we won’t bring it up again. Same price.

About two weeks from the last day for photos to their letterbox: a few days to prepare your preview, up to 48 hours for your changes, then printing and 2–6 business days in the post. We confirm exact dates in your quote.
No. They just open the envelope. Only the family members who share photos use WhatsApp.
No — you start a new group just for the paper, so your everyday chat stays as it is. Anyone who’d rather send things privately can message the editor directly.
That’s fine — a magazine can be made from one or two people’s photos. If your 12-page plan magazine is short on photos, you can choose 8 pages for A$10 less, move the last day for photos by a week, or skip that magazine at no charge.
You pay after you approve the final preview. We’ll confirm payment details with you. Nothing is charged before approval.

Not printed copies during our pilot. Every magazine comes with a PDF you can share with family anywhere, and you can order a PDF-only edition for relatives abroad.
Anyone shown can ask for it to be removed before printing, and it comes out.
Yes. Just don’t add the person receiving it to the group.
Of course. The person who receives the magazine can be the one who orders it, joins the group and approves every page.

Tell us a little about your family. We’ll reply within 2 business days with a quote and offer a free sample page. You only pay if you go ahead and approve the full magazine.
We’re a small, founder-run pilot in Melbourne. Here’s exactly how it works.
The Family Paper is operated by HEART BLOOM AI PTY LTD, a founder-run pilot in Melbourne. ABN 92 690 231 522. Contact: info@thefamilypaper.com.au.
Prices are in Australian dollars. Printed options include editing, one printed copy posted within Australia and the PDF; PDF-only options do not include printing or postage. Prices include GST. You pay for each magazine after you approve its final preview and before it’s printed. Nothing is charged before you approve.
No automatic payments or lock-in. We print once it’s paid. Stop or pause any time with one message; a magazine you haven’t approved is never charged.
During the pilot we print and post within Australia only (Australia Post, usually 2–6 business days after posting; remote areas can take longer). Every magazine comes with a PDF you can share with family anywhere.
Tell us within 30 days of posting and we’ll reprint and repost it once at no cost.
Each magazine includes up to 3 rounds of changes. You have 48 hours to review your preview — just ask if you need longer. Fixes to names, dates or facts never count as a round. We print only the version your family’s nominated person approves by replying “APPROVED” with the version number. Anyone shown in a photo can ask for it to be removed before printing.
What you post is seen by your family’s group and by your editor. To make your magazine we use AI tools to help sort photos, transcribe voice notes and draft text and translations. We send the final pages to our printer, and your payment goes through our card processor. Each of them gets only what it needs. We use your content only to make your family’s magazines. We never sell it, and we never use it in our own marketing without written permission from everyone shown.
If you don’t go ahead after a free sample, we delete your photos within 30 days. If you stop, we send you all your PDFs and delete the rest within 30 days unless you ask us to keep them. You can ask us to delete your photos and recordings from our files at any time, and we’ll confirm in writing within 7 days. (We can’t remove copies in your family’s own WhatsApp group, or in PDFs and magazines already sent.)
Tell us if anything changes — an illness, a death, a move — and everything stops the same day: no reminders, no printing, no charges. If a magazine has already been posted, we can’t call it back. We’ll pick up only when you say so.
If The Family Paper can’t finish a magazine you’ve paid for, you get a full refund and your files back.
